THE CHALLENGE

n 2021, Condor Pincéis approached us to develop their new 2.85 L domestic painting tray.

The two main challenges were to improve the structural resistance of the tray and optimize the amount of material, making the product lighter, while also translating more of the Condor design identity.

The client also expected possibilities to add value for the two different user profiles: hobbyists and professionals.

The result is the 810 tray.

OPPORTUNITIES

An opportunity discovered in the research process is that there was a lack of entry-level products with greater resistance in the market, as competitors had little firmness when loaded with paint.

We developed the new tray with arched sides to convey a more practical and attractive aspect, values of the Condor brand, but also to enable greater three-dimensional firmness, making it more stable when handled with paint.

To make it even more solid, the side and front edges were reinforced in width and height.
